  • 7th Annual Gotta Have Heart awards luncheon, chaired by EST member Gisella Thomas at Fox Fire Restaurant , Anaheim Hills, CA; 15 awardees were presented with plaques.
  • Presidential Bronze and Presidential Silver Volunteer Awards presented to Barbara Eldridge and Lillie Montgomery
  • 6th Annual Birthday Party, hosted by EST member Shirley Kerr.

Accomplishments for 2007

  1. Membership grew by 68% with 136 new members.
  2. For You Network™  presented 3 members with Scholarships awards.  8 members received scholarships to attend the IE Business Conference.  2 members received scholarships to attend Extravaganza.
  3. The EST annual three-day Strategic Planning meeting was held in Lake Arrowhead (facilities rental donated to For You).
  4. 2008 BOD Strategic Planning Session was hosted by the EST.  Ritchie Wills was installed as president.
  5. 2nd quarterly Board of Director meeting with full house in attendance.
  6. 3rd quarterly Board of Director meeting with full house attendance.
  7. Redesigned and reestablished www.4younetwork.org and raised exposure level on the Internet.
  8. 65 members were nominated and attended FREE the LA Business Journal Women Who Make A Difference awards at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
  9. 3 members were nominated for the Riverside Soroptomist Awards.
  10. 4 members were nominated for the LA-NAWBO Awards.
  11. Two members became finalists for the Spirit of Entrepreneur Awards out of a nomination field of 13.6 members were nominated for the annual NAFE Awards. Winners will be selected in 2008.

  13. Lisa Marie Platske, Moreno Valley past director, Owner Upside Thinking, featured in May 2007 ‘951’ magazine for Women to Watch in 2007.
